MORTAR + PARSLEY FOOD BLOG 2013-2014
Mortar + Parsley is a food blog that I put together in the summer of 2013. I compiled family recipes, pulled from some of the greats, and came up with my own. Sometimes I sit around thinking about recipes, don't you? But like any good student, you also have know those that came before, so don't try and reinvent pesto without familiarizing yourself with Marcella Hazan's recipe, ok?
I used this blog to work on my photography and to play out some of those food scenarios in my head. It was fun, but sometimes there was a lot of food on a Saturday at 11 am and people were busy (lame) and I had to eat it all. The blog came to an end in the fall of 2014. But who knows? I'm still cooking, still dreaming, and after 18 months of travel, I'm feeling pretty inspired. And hungry...always hungry.
